Abstract

The present work proposes an approach to the correspondence theory of truth in order to extrapolate its conclusions to communicative activity in an attempt to waterproof them as far as possible for the purposes of filtering false news, hoaxes or misinformation. In this way, we will start from the philosophical analysis that points out the need for training and accuracy as two of the ingredients that prevail in the traditional concept of truth, to arrive at journalistic action transformed by the revolutions operated both in the media and in the communication channels that essentially modify the information activity and require redefining the process itself in terms of reflective, interpretive and critical journalism.
