Abstract

Serendipity is a free translation of that fate that does not touch sometimes in the life and the clouds of the unknown but that, in part, we look for. The case of Paula sums up this circumstance of the stroke of luck, but also the prejudices of the medical profession, the difficulties of diagnosis when we face a rare disease, the customs line that separates the symptoms of serious diseases. But above all, it tells us a story of overcoming, an athlete of life, which is taken every day as a challenge. For professionals, it is a way of putting ourselves in the skin of the other, learning from our mistakes and listening to the messages of our patients who count behind the words.
