Medical records are narratives of patients' lives, and at the same time texts with literary content and a chronology. They contain interpreted and interpretable data, as well as highly personal observations by the medical professional. The advent of electronic medical records brought with it significant advantages (greater data reliability, use for reviews and research, automation of information, text legibility regardless of the professional…), but to some extent, the intellectual, linguistic, and literary personalization of paper records was lost. May this text be a tribute to all those who came before us, to their words, their thoughts, emotions and reflections.
