Is theater a formo f escapism? In part, yes, but it is also much more than that. Good theater transports us with the flow of well-woven narrative. It is more about suggesting than showing. In the words of Peter Brook, in theater, “the imagination fills in the gaps” and “Paradoxically, the less one feeds the imagination, the happier it is: because imagination it is a muscle that enjoys playing games”.
