Abstract

The cooperative is the only mercantile society that has such a complex legal framework, made up of different levels: European, state and regional. In them or by them there have been changes in which there has been the transfer of rules from capital companies to cooperatives, which raises their fit with the cooperative principles; but also reforms in the opposite direction, in matters in which cooperative legislation has been the pioneer. Particularly important are the changes made in the specific regulation of housing cooperatives, which reflect the problems that arose in practice, such as those related to external managers, the assurance of the amounts delivered by the cooperatives on account of construction or responsibility of the partners for the debts of the company.
